Sabaton is a Power Metal band from Sweden
It's hard to describe the sound of a band as good as Sabaton but like all great bands, there are none out there like them.
Most Power Metal bands have a Lead singer with a very high voice almost like Rob Halford of Judas Priest.
Sabaton is very unique because in part to the very deep voice of Joakim Brodén - And yet he has a lot of melody in his voice.
Another thing that makes them like no other is that Two of Their albums (Primo Victoria and Attero Dominatus) are war themed albums - mostly about WWII
This and the awesome Power Metal sound of Sabaton is what first gave me so much interest in the band.
My Goal is to get Sabaton to do a tour of the U.S. so my friends and I can go see them live - Seeing them in Concert is what I dream of doing.
I hope this site shows the band that we love them in the U.S.!!

Reply to "question about file sharing"
here is the response:
Blowmax10:
I thank you for the support of our band.
As konstifik explained there are two sides.
We are very well aware that without filesharing and downloads we are not nearly as popular so thats the good part.
But as my friend explained above it also comes with a bad things and that is the business. We are depending on that promoters, festivals, labels, distributors and such.
And its very hard to try to convince a person in the US to pay for the flights of us.
Its usually like this.
ME!!! -"you know we have a lot of fans in the US, you should book us, we have tonnes of fans on youtube and myspace"
PROMOTER!!! -"Yeah right, you have sold 100 albums all over US, no chance I touch you."
So because of this we are depending on recordsales. Also if the distributors see that the album sells they promote it harder, and then the rock starts to roll
if you would like to talk to the band - check out the Sabaton forum at

Question for the band about file sharing
I’d like to hear about Sabaton’s view on file sharing
I use P2P file sharing to find bands that I would never normally hear about from the mainstream music
In fact I feel like the mainstream machine only puts out the bands that they choose to
I haven’t heard a mainstream band that I liked since the early 90’s. For several years now I have been using online forums and P2P networks like Limewire to find and download music to listen to. If I like the band I buy the album
I really feel that P2P file sharing is the same as giving out mix tapes like we did when cassette tapes were in. Its just publicity, especially for bands that you wouldn’t hear about another way
In my group of friends, I’m the one that discovered Sabaton. I was watching a Youtube video that someone had made and they had used the song Primo Victoria for the vid
Now the vid wasn’t very good but I like the song so much that I sent the creator asking about the song and who was the band that made it. This was the first time that I heard of Sabaton
After that I went on Limewire and downloaded anything I could find that had to do with Sabaton and after finding out how much I liked them, I ordered CD’s from the band
But most importantly, I told all of my friends here in the USA about Sabaton and two of them have told me they have ordered CD’s and I’m sure that they told all of their friends about the band as well
Now here is the question, that Youtube video was “copy write infringement” and I could be sued by the RIAA for downloading music off Limewire but all the RIAA and people like them are looking out for are there best interests, not the bands best interests
My friends and I would never have heard of Sabaton without this “illegal” mechanism
Do you think P2P file sharing is wrong or is it word of mouth publicity that is good for the band??
